Writing as activism is something I think about a lot. Sometimes I feel so defeated and powerless against the evils I see in the world, and it feels like I don’t have the kind of voice or reach that would even scratch the surface. But if everyone thought that way, nothing would get done. I think if we all can find a way to do just a little—whether through writing or protests/demonstrations, speaking engagements, etc.—we can start to chip away at the horrors we’re witnessing every day.
